Santa came early

It was Karen and Jenny's turn to go shopping this week. Soroptimist International of Geelong's Monthly Giving project for October was to buy and donate new toys to a local Kinship Carers group. We decided to organise it now to ensure delivery and to avoid duplication of the toys.

Many adults become Kinship Carers unexpectedly, when children can’t remain with their parents for various reasons. They are most often grandparents, other family members and sometimes older siblings.

This donation will go a long way towards making Christmas wonderful for the children while easing some of the financial burden on the carer.
